Harboøre Tange
Harboøre Tange, the primary line of defence against the North Sea, is a wonderful place for
birdwatching. Positioned as a tongue of land bordered only by the North Sea to the West and
Nissum Bredning (the Limfjord) to the east, Harboøre Tange is a strategically central area for
a large number of seabirds and migratory birds. The area is a spit formation, and is therefore flat and low-lying. It features two large – and several small – shallow saltwater lakes (lagoons), and the landscape consists of seaside meadows and areas covered with reeds and bushes.
Visit the area and enjoy the remarkable interplay between the West Jutland wilderness and the birds.
